So i asked my GP if i could be referred to a psychiatrist under the NHS. I just wanted to know how long it will take in order to get an appointment with a psychiatrist. My GP said she will ask all the hospitals around london and not just my local hospital so the process can be quicker.... So my advice is to ask your GP why you have been referred to a psychiatrist and as for being made to feel neurotic this is up to the individual and the more we try and explain ourselves or convince others the more neurotic we appear, it is one of life's ironies.
